Who can join?
Anyone who wants to feature XiuChen in fic or art.Do you accept poly?
We are happy to accept XiuChen+ fics from those of you who feel that two people in a bed is not enough. Just please don’t use that as an excuse to sneak in a different main pairing.How can I tag responsibly as an artist, or if I don't want to give away spoilers?
If you're a writer concerned that your tags may give away important plot points, you can use the 'additional content warnings in author notes' tag, then AO3's new spoiler code to hide them (unless a would-be reader elects to reveal them). For NSFW artists, we'll work with you to include a SFW post in our master Twitter thread that leads to the full glory of your art. Our mods are also here to help if you’re struggling with tagging your fic!How do I submit my work to you?

All fic will be posted anonymously to the AO3 collection and linked on our twitter account. All art will be posted by the artists on their own twitter accounts. We will send out detailed emails better explaining the process when the time comes!Can I submit sequels/tie-ins to my own already-published works?
Sequels and other tie-ins are welcome, but the game of anonymity means you shouldn't tag them as such or include them in other collections until after reveals. Readers may guess the connection before then, or they may have their eyes opened to more fun once the link is public.What about podfics or fanart of another creator's existing XiuChen stories?
As with all podfics, creator permission is required beforehand, but if you've contacted them (or they grant blanket permission in their AO3 profile), then feel free! We'll even make the cover image for you in the style of our usual fic moodboards. Fanart is similar, if you know it will be well received by the original creator, go ahead!

PROMPTING Guidelines

PROMPTING STARTS SEPTEMBER 21ST AND ENDS ON OCTOBER 5THDuring the submission period, anyone may submit story ideas to the fest archive through a self-explanatory form.We do not forbid explicit or heavy trigger content in the submissions. Despite that, the Mods reserve the right to review and remove submission of content that is defamatory, racist or otherwise insensitive.Make sure to include anything you do or don't want to see for your prompt, especially when it comes to triggers.

CLAIMING Guidelines

CLAIMING STARTS ON OCTOBER 7TH AND CLOSES ON MARCH 20TH
That's right, you can join up at the last minute if you have a yet-to-be-posted XiuChen piece you'd like us to include!During the claiming period, writers and artists may look through the story ideas in the archive and submit another form listing those they'd like to write or draw. If you already have an idea of your own in mind, or a WIP you've been meaning to finish, you can also self-prompt!Claiming of prompts will be first come, first served. You can't choose a prompt which has already been claimed, but if a claim is dropped by the original claimant, someone else may then choose it. We allow one writer and one artist claim per prompt.Once the prompt you've chosen has been confirmed by the mods, you may begin writing and/or drawing your XiuChen piece! All final fics have to be at least 1000 words long; all final art pieces need to include at least one character.You are welcome to claim more than one prompt, but only after you have finished and turned in your first one.If you plan on claiming a prompt, try to be as sure about committing to participating as possible. But we all know that life happens sometimes… If you are worried about missing a check-in or not being able to finish in time, send us an email and we will try to work with you on solving the problem!
